    Best Featureless Grip?

Finally getting around to doing a featureless build and I'm looking for recommendations for a featureless grip. I usually run Magpul K2s on everything. That being said, the thumb shelfs on some of these featureless grips look good to me but I also want the rifle to lend itself to shooting both strong-side and weak-side.

Suggestions? Pictures are always helpful. Thanks.

Sparrow grip is definitely worth looking at.

sparrow grip is nice quality. I'm bummed it doesn't really work with my ACE skeleton stock.

I used the Strike industries fin grip and found I hate fins. There part is great i just hate not having somewhere for my thumb to go. I would try to wrap it and it would bump the rifle out of my hands when picking it up.

I love my thordsen gen 1 on my 3 gun rig.

I had that recommended to me by someone else as well, looks interesting but I think I want something less raked back. More of a straight up and down angle, don't know the correct terminology but hopefully you can read between the lines of my ignorance.

Thordsen Gen 3 looks and feels the best in my opinion. Only bad thing is they are one of the most expensive put there. Some people who have multiple rifles will spend a few hundred dollars on converting them

Sparrow is the best for the money out there now IMHO

I like the feel and fit of the Sparrow on mine. Way better than the fin feel for me.

Sparrow, resurgent arms, hammerhead all work for me. Hammer head not as cool looking but pretty comfortable. The Resurgent probably my favorite due to the palm swell.

                  None are really cheap.

'Best' is objective, what feels best to you, what are you doing with it, etc.

I've got darn near all the featureless options available and frankly with a few notable exceptions (more design points than specific brands) each one works and some excel at certain things.

Grips like the Sparrow, Resurgent, Hammerhead, Featureless Arms and others of this type work well for allowing one handed manipulation of the rifle.
The Thorsden stocks fit this point as well.

The Backfin, Strike Ind. MegaFin, etc. offer a good balance of fin grip legality and control.

Grip wraps like munkeeboi's are excellent for making a grip you love complaint as well as making for an easy conversion back to standard when you're not in California.

I really like the Monsterman with an A2 stock for shooting off a bench, it's just simple and almost feels like a bolt action.

Two that I really like, both because they work and because they have a lot of history, are my 1st gen U-15 stock and the original wooden Monsterman AK grip on one of my AK pattern rifles.

Figure out what you want to do and how you want to hold your rifle, figure out what fits you and then go shopping!

I have the Ledgegrip on all my AR platform rifles. It's a two part replacement for the pistol grip that also keeps the stock from telescoping. Takes 5 minutes to install. Replace the flash hider with a thread protector and you're GTG.

Just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder... ergonomics is in the hand of the holder. There are many great choices, and some will look better to you personally and some will feel better to you personally. We tried to make our grip match the look of a modern sporting rifle such that it would blend well with Magpul furniture. We also liked the comfort of the swept back angle of the Monsterman, but designed ours so you could also wrap your thumb over for more control. It is comfortable to shoot using both the “cradle hold” and the “thumb over hold”.

Going from locked mag to featureless myself so I can use my standard cap mags. I bought the liberal grip and it's not bad. I just ordered the resurgent arms grip along with their ambi selector lever and ergonomic back plate. Makes a huge difference for the webbing between the trigger finger and thumb. I had the fin grip but I didn't like it was right hand only. These two grips allow left or right handed operation because your thumb can go over the top it feels more secure. The extended selector allows you to operate the controls once you install the grip and I believe it changes it to a 45 degree throw instead of 90. Pretty excited to get the package as this will make the featureless AR almost as usable as a free state AR.

Tried most of them, I hate Thordsens the least.

The angle is changed to a traditional rifle and at least you are able to wrap your thumb around it and you can hold it one-handed. The "nub" style don't feel secure when manipulating one-handed.

Exile Machine Backfin Finned Backstrap w/ thumb shelf mated to a Magpul MIAD. Feels good & just about natural in hand.
