    Wolf Ammo

I ****ing hate the stuff. After seeing it back out primers on JPGlee,s FAL and mine I thought I would go ahead and try out some from another lot.Well I had a case head seperate and blow the floorplate right off my mag.It ran the SA surplus just fine.I am so I hope there is no other damage to my rifle.

I use nothing but wolf in my .223s. I've never had any problems but a single dud round in the 1k wolf rounds i've put through the .223s. Its cheap. Its ammo. It works. You can get at least twice as much wolf ammo for the cost of other ammo. At 100 yards I see no difference in performance from other ammo. Many claim it wears the extractor which I have not noticed. I say meh. With all the money you save playing with wolf you could buy several extractors. Just my 2 cents. You could have also been using the 1st generation wolf. I've heard bad things about first gen performance. I started buying wolf in May when buddies told me about the performance of the 2nd gen stuff.

The .223 may be fine but I would not recomend using the .308.In my opinion you are taking the chance of hurting the gun or yourself if you do.I have now seen problems first hand with 2 different lots of the .308.My FAL will eat everything else I throw at it.

I wont use it in any of my rifles/pistols but I want to buy an SKS just so I can buy and shoot the cheap Wolf 7.62X39 stuff.

It's not cheap anymore. I remember (not too many years ago 3-5 years) paying 70 bucks for 1000 rounds of wolf 7.62x39...not, it is about double.

Thats true but its still one of the cheapest center fire rifle rounds out there. I can pick up a box of 20 for $3.75 locally. Thats still cheaper then XM193 for $5.99 per 20.

I use wolf for my .223 rifles and my 9mm carbine and they love it. I decided a few months ago to try the .308 in my m1a...never again. I used about a thousand rounds of SA and Argentine without one problem. FIRST round of the wolf .308...BAM FTE . I gave the rest of the 19 rounds to a buddy.

That's right! 1,000 rounds of 223 was selling for $149 at the last gun show. Might as well pay another $50 and get the Federal, Remington or Winchester ammo with the reloadable brass.

Oh you guys are no fun. You know there are a dozen guys out there just waiting to pounce on ohsmily for the slightest typo, even hitting an adjacent key would be scrutinized and you guys jump on my back for jokingly pointing out a typo four keys away. Geez I guess the fun is over.

And to stay on topic, I've used Wolf .45 without problems but outside of pistols I probably wouldn't use it. I guess the thought of having a gas system to clean just makes me not want to use it. Still anything that operates more or less on a blowback operation is fine by me.
