Silence Dogood, where did I ever say that my freedoms are any less vulnerable than yours are? I just stated above that freedom anywhere is always teetering on the edge and must be defended. What I also said, and will reiterate here, is that when I peruse around CG and read the things you Californians worry about, I feel bad for you and sometimes I will try to ring the bell above your head to remind you it doesn't have to be this way. You might be seeing what you want to see with this. But at times it feels like conversing with some of you here is like trying to throw a key to a prisoner and the prisoner throws the key back and yells how dare you take me from here? Now, this gives me a shoulder shrug because you can do whatever you want, but when I stumble upon another Californian, I'll try to throw the key again.
I too suffered from severe Stockholm Syndrome while living in CA, and would say similar things that I see others writing on CG, defiantly defending the state and my choice to live there. As someone who's gotten out and now able to look back, the thought process of what your average Californian has to deal with is nothing short of insanity (and I'm not just talking about the 2a). And if you can't take my reminding people currently living under the tyrant CA sky as an example of my watching out for you with tough love, rather than your taking it as sneer, you're mistaken. And the best position in this type of fight isn't in a trench starving and without ammo or fully function guns, surrounded by the enemy. Sometimes it's best to get out and perch yourself up on a hilltop, fully armed with fully functioning rifles with lots of ammo, a full stomach and surrounded by others who are strong to fight. But don't worry, those who moved out haven't forgotten about you. We're still fighting for you. Just stop getting pissy when we do so.
