Interested in learning long range shooting?

    Do you fit this description?

You have a scoped precision rifle.
You live in the greater LA area.
You have been shooting at local ranges but always wondered what it was like to shoot past 600yds.
You don't know where to go to learn to shoot further because you don't have access to a longer distance range.

If so, check out this thread:

You dont have to live in LA to go. If you are anywhere in So-Cal it would probably be worth making the drive.

Well, an 8 hour drive isn't quite worth it lol. Also hiking is an issue for me. Damn false hip...

People should try and put these together in all parts of the state though. I would certainly go.

It looks like I'm out of luck.

I'm not in So-Cal and my rifle isn't really precision.

I still want to learn how to hit stuff out to about 600 yards...

                  Hi, Randall--

Not this month or April (signed up already for the Appleseed shoot), but I'd love to make the next one after. Do you post these announcements regularly?

The registration for this one is full up now, but we might do another one in the fall. If we do it will be posted on Calguns.

I've been shooting 500 yards on BLM land near Redding (off of Jelly Ferry Rd). I may be able to shoot a little farther out there, but no where near 1000 yards, it's also too crowded on weekends, no one wants to hold fire while you walk 500 yards out and back.
I plan on looking for an area to shoot 1000 yards in the near future, if anyone knows of a place (near Redding), or wants to meet and make a plan, let me know. I'll be looking for a place we can ride out to place and check targets.
