I have experience with many brakes and compensators and the two best I have found and always recommend to people are the Core 15 and VG6 Epsilon. By "best" I mean giving you the ability to shoot exceptionally fast while staying on target; keeping your rifle flat. These brakes are not overly large or heavy either and they provide decent flash suppression as well.

Don't have a photo of my VG6 Epsilon but here's a Core 15 on one of my Daniel Defense V7's....

A muzzle break needs to be fixed, but there is a difference between a muzzle brake and a compensator as well.

Probably should have chosen a different thread title with this as the opening post.
