how many loaded, loose .223 rounds can fit into a 30cal ammo can. Or a 50cal ammo can. Thanks

500 (30cal)/1000 (50cal) for sure. 500 of 7.62x39 fit into 30cal can to the brim nicely, so I know atleast 500 of 223 fit.

Depending on how you stack them, I was able to get 900 or so in a 30 cal can.

At Miwall they had plastic .30 cal ammo cans with 250 rounds loose, they were about 3/4 full.

A .50 cal can was about 7/8 full with 500 rounds loose.

After putting it all on stripper clips and stacking it carefully, the .50 cal cans are about 2/3 full with 500 rounds.

With my Strip LULA, magazine reloads are going to be easy.

I bought 1000rds of PMC bronze and after unboxing they all went in fine in to a 50 cal can. I have a little bit of room left, not much. Can't speak for .30 cal cans (even though I have a few, I won't count them out and fill one now, too lazy)

Oops, it was 500 in a .30 cal can.

I'm not sure what the plastic can was...

I've got 800 and three loaded 30 rounders in a .50cal can and it's pretty much full.

I have a full can of factory Federal 55gr soft point ammo in a 50 cal ammo can. I think it is close to 1,000 rounds. I am thinking about selling it. I wonder how much it is worth.

I bought 100 stripper clips and two strip lula's to go along with the 1,000 rounds of XM-193 I bought at the Cow Palace. It didn't take very long to load up the strippers, probably two hours. A lot less time than I'll save vs single loading my magazines.

After that, the strippers stack in the cans pretty nicely...
