Jet fighter tech on a hunting rifle

I don’t think a lot of people want to drop 10k on scope. I take pride in what I can or can’t hit. If I can’t then I need practice.NRA Lifer

The odd thing about tracking point's design is that you have to "mark" the target and then you activate the trigger and the NEXT TIME you get on target, it fires for you.
So there are two distinct actions there, aligning the sight on the target and activating the trigger.
I find it is more convenient to simply put my crosshairs on the target and then activate the trigger to fire my rifle and save the $10,000 for a nicer truck.Randall Rausch

I should have made my point clearer in that I was referring to adding the capability for individual riflemen to have a scope system that will both 1) lase the target and identify range and 2) Automatically perform ballistics calculation and present an aiming point for them. I would also like to see some form of Shotspotter technology integrated into the scope to identify direction of last shot.Comment

Did you guys notice this was from 2015? Old news, and we had a thread about it back then too.Comment

What you are speaking of is a laser rangefinder, not a laser designator.
A laser designator is for marking (designating) a target so that your team members can see the illumination through their night vision equipment.Randall Rausch

Yeah, Meprolight came out with something similar but not for commercial sale. If I had $1,500 to burn, would definitely get the Eliminator.Last edited by Califpatriot; 04-25-2018, 8:10 PM.In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.Comment

In 10 years I would imagine this technology to be readily available, much more efficient and reasonably priced for the average consumer.Does anyone have one of these? It’s a WiFi scope that lets you hit long distances easily. Seems like seal equipment
