    hi point 995 or kel-tec sub 2000?

Okay. any chance of being able to get these into california? I am thinking i could go with a third party, have the receiver transfered to me with the barrel sent to my house. Then I could make some sort of bullet button and then put the rifle back together in a cali legal form.

    Does this sound right?

If so, which would you go with? I am thinking my preference goes to the kel-tec sub 2000 because I can get one which works with glock 17 mags and I am planning on buying a glock 17 when I turn 21.

Either. If it was me... I'd go sub. 2000 and make it featureless somehow cause I have glock mags...

I just did this exact thing. I found a nib HiPoint 995. Had the guy send the barreled action to my ffl and the rest to me. Once I had it in my hands it took maybe 10 minutes to figure out a bullet button design. All it took was a "C" clip from an old carburetor, a drill bit, some JB weld, and a drill motor and a jewelers file to make a groove in the mag release rod for the c-clip.
No need to separate the barrel from the receiver for shipping because the magazine assembly is part of the stock, not the receiver
At least that's how I did it.

There actually is a bullet button for Hi-Point 995/4095. I got mine from LANworld, they sent it with the bullet button installed.
