I am actually waiting for a prototype red dot mount that will go where the rear sight is. This will allow for even lower mounting if the red dot. I will post up pics and more info when it shows up.

I went with the Clark trigger and hammer kit. The trigger pull on the PC9 is OK as is, and the gun is a plinker mostly, but the plastic trigger just screams too cheap. Glad to know it's an easy install.

Post up if it works. I know I was glad the Volquartsen kit came with the shims as they were needed on my rig.

The stock trigger is ok for plinking, but for my use a light, short travel, quick reset is wanted.

Now I just need to spend some time with it and get the handling down. Going from a 9mm AR platform to this rig will take some time to get fast with.

But I like to keep things interesting, so fun fun.

No, the lever is a good idea, but it fails to function reliably.

And in USPSA, the only reloading you need to do is on the classifiers...unless you messed up the stage or have a malfunction. In that case, a speedy reload is problay not gonna save your match.

I am working on this style of reload:

Finally just took my PC9 to the range today.
Added all the Taccom go fast upgrades. Holosun 510 mounted and sighted it.
Added the Streamlight TLR 2 800 lumens with green laser. Just have to add the Taccom muzzle brake.
Shot over 100 rounds. Ran great! Weather got too hot to do a lot of shooting.
A real winner for Ruger, great rifle, and I have 2 JP AR 9MM GMR 13 and 15.
Now that BigBamBoo told us about the 10/22 trigger modifications, going have to do that too!
Will be using this for USPSA also!

The 510C sits too high for good cheek weld, will need to get one of these. The Romeo 5 with low mount has a much better fit.

                  Good stuff!

I was hoping to have mine sighted in by now, but shot the Golden Bullet this weekend.

My plan is to get to the range this week so I can try it next Tuesday at Tuesday Evening Steel.

It is going to be different from the AR platform for sure.

The rear sight replacement red dot mount for the Vortex Razor red dot should be here this week as well and I will post details and thoughts when I get it set up.

I got the lever to function 100% by not tightening the screw all the way so that it is snug not tight if that makes sense. There needs to be some play in yhe button to get the lever to work. I put locktite on the screw after snuging up the mag release screw. But if the release is tight and has no play the lever doesnt work.

Good to know. I might give the lever another go.

I am going to have my buddy make a lever from SS on his mill and see if that helps as there is a LOT of flex in the Taccom lever.

I was considering that. If you have luck let me know. I might be interested in one. I really like the lever

I have shims and agree, I think the trigger will need it.

I have a Marlin Camp 9 and being blowback the thing gets dirty as hell. Even the top of the mags get soot black. The Marlin is a PITA to clean so I suspect the Ruger will be used more often. I would like Boyds to offer a laminated stock.
