    Magpul colors

This probably could go in the general gun forum but it is rifle related.

Can anyone post a pic or two of the color difference between Magpuls Olive Drab and Foliage Green either stocks, grips or pmags, ideally installed on a rifle.

Just thinking about changing the look of my AR and maybe it needs some color.

Take a look at the Magpul XTM rail panels on this foreend. Mix of foliage green, OD green, and FDE.

Agree with Jicko, OD green is sort of what you'd expect it to be, and foliage green looks kinda greenish/greyish.

your pic inspired me to do a combo color on my rails with magpul XTM. Im gonna just start with balck and OD and see how that looks, then I might throw in a foliage grren

          Cool! It's sort of like a multi-cam!

It's funny just how much pure black stands out. During a recent night shoot, a bunch of us were on the line and looked back where a fellow's son was walking around uprange (50+ yards away). He happened to be wearing mostly black and it actually made it easier to see him!

hahah true, I was just talking to one of our swat team guys and they want to swtich to some sort of digi camo stuff because they always wear all black and they stick out everywhere they go. hahaha its funny because you think black hides but unless its pitch black it does not.

since this is on magpul colors, does magpuls dark earth match tango downs flat dark earth? Im planning on using a dark earth magpul stock and grip and tangodowns FDE for the vert grip and rail covers.

Foliage Green is not really green, it is greenish grey. It matches the ACU and ABU uniform.

Yeah, I was under the assumption that foliage green was intended to be a solid color for accessories/pouches/items that went with ACU. That's the only reason I could see for straying from OD in the green spectrum...
