I got a complete upper from model 1 sales, it shoots great, on average it holds 1/2" groups all day long, 24" varmint model is what I have

Model 1 Sales is a quality based AR15 / M16 component and accessories provider.

24" for a Grendel seems a bit nuts. My Creedmoor is only 24" IIRC
Fear is the spare change that will keep you broke

Well there's another controversy for you... 6.5 Sporter vs. 6.5 Grendel.

Good read on the ballisics of the 6.5 in the new American Rifleman. Seems it's an ideal diameter, Creedmore or Grendel.

What if you only shoot rimfire cartridges?

Regardless, it IS important to find local sources for ammo because online orders are about to get alot more complicated. I reload, but I want to have a source for ammo for all of my calibers. luckily there is ONE store I have found in a 10 mile radius from me that does carry Hornady factory Grendel loads.

hopefully someone locally decides to carry the 100gr wolf steel cased ammo, I have a stockpile of it for plinking my Grendel rifle but it is lame that I have only found it online...

The Sporter is a Grendel ! that's the name that the manufacturer use to avoid having to pay Alexander Arms a license fee for the Grendel name.

7.62x39 is not cheap, and not nearly as cheap as .300blk.

I get that your guns do not shoot, but do not come in here saying because your gun wont shoot better than a 4" group mine won't.
You still have no idea what kind of groupings I pull off except for a bargain 7.62x39 AR I built. Now I'm really calling bs if you're going to claim unassisted better than MOA groupings with crap ammo. I've seen precision bolt guns do worse than MOA with milsurp and crap reloads.

I very specifically said I use a bipod and rear bag. My guns shoot. You are welcome to come shoot them for yourself.
My 55gr blaster will shoot 1MOA or better, and my 75gr long range ammo will shoot better than MOA. And that is the facts jack.
Again, you are welcome to bring your AR out and shoot mine alongside it.

Sounds pretty controversial to me or at least inflammatory. Are you sure the bolts are exactly the same?

There are two different specs for 6.5 grenade bolts.
Some barrels are chambered to use standard depth 7.62x39 bolts while others are chambered about 0.013" shallow to use special bolts that are deepened.
I believe this was initially done to specifically make the 6.5 grenade bolts non-interchangeable so you HAD to buy your replacement parts from Alexander.
