I have not seen anything like this in Contra Costa County. But maybe I'm just missing them. I know that Concord Police and Walnut Creek police don't have these

Didn't one go off in Chino a few years back on LE day. A kid reached in and pulled the trigger. If I recall, a little girl was hurt from splatter.

I sure hope they don't loose em
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I'm from central CA and one of local PD's has them on all their motor units.

The other one is starting to but not all of them are outfitted yet.

It was at a school and there was a safety plate at the base of the muzzle built into the mount. It did it's job, it fragmented the bullet so that no one was vert seriously injured.

Looks like they have updated to something with a folding stock and a red dot across the rear rack:
Somebody said it was a HK G36K. Apparently there are two variants, one with the carrying handle and one with a rail.

SMGLee also has a YT vid shooting one.

Things have changed since the North Hollywood armored bank robbers with the full auto AK47 when the police were outgunned.

My neighbor is a motorcycle bike cop for Oxnard. They have G36, that are custom to take AR mags. Select fire, 3 Rd burst. Real deal! I may or may not have held one in my garage

I have never seen a 20" AR on a motor unit.

Has anyone seen the chp with the normal blue station shirt on but with the desert/multicam pants?
I saw that a couple times and it was pretty weird

And, the only thing Prop 63 got right was to put theft of firearms back in the felony category. http://www.pe.com/2016/11/22/why-the...in-california/

That was the same thing I thought seeing my local Carlsbad moto cops with their bolted in M4's on the back of the bike. Stay too long in the bagel shop and those might go missing.
