OP, I've been hearing good things about the new Ruger lowers I've been seeing at Turners lately. And I think they are less than $100 plus tax and dros.

You should consider the Fightlite SCR. It is $600, but it's featureless out of the box and has nice (IMO) ergonomics relative to other featureless solutions.

I don't se much difference in functionality between expensive and cheap lowers. Upper and BCG is what makes or breaks the deal.

oh, but there is.

My seekins 223 lower has captured safety detent spring and captured takedown spring. It also has trigger overtravel adjustment.

So there is that.

Most of the lowers are truly the same. I think there's like three forges that produced them. If you get a good brand name like Anderson or Spike's, you should be fine. I generally buy them based on the roll marks and if I like them or not.

I would just buy something in stock that you like the roll mark. Ir something where you're already buying something else and they will allow you to throw it onto the DROS you're already paying for.

I picked up a couple Ruger 556 lowers at Turners for $99 each. They also have lower build kits from Anderson for $35. I got a BCM trigger and CMC lower kit from JBO for $95.
