Recommend me an AR lower

Ok, so I've been a hardcore handgun guy for years. I never really had a desire to own an AR until yesterday when I shot my cousins. Holy cow! I've been missing out on a lot of fun.

Can someone point me to a list of CA legal lowers? Also, who do you guys recommend? Anderson? Spikes? I do know that I want forged.

I don't se much difference in functionality between expensive and cheap lowers. Upper and BCG is what makes or breaks the deal.

I dislike large or goofy rollmarks. Otherwise, any normal forged mil-pattern lower is good for me.

One marked "MATTEL" would be fun.

What ever is on special at the LGS. You won't notice any differance in performance in a entry lower , only differance will be roll mark, finish, maybe flat black, maybe a bit shiny, and maybe a bit better machining finish on one over the other but none of that will make any differance in shooting.

I bought a couple dozen Andersons with no complaints, would of bought Aero or any other brand that was $45.

Tactical Machine makes a great lower. They have the best chamfered mag well. Plus the hard coat anodize finish they put on is top notch, better than any of the other popular brand lowers I've seen.

Noveske, KAC SR30, and Colt. I'd throw Armalite but it's banned by name
