Checkmate and Springfield magazines are the best, stay away from everything else. And as to why I want 10/20 mags, I need the leverage of a longer mags. The 10 and the 5rd mags are too small to properly manipulate. Also I heard that the +1 problems don't exist with the 10/20 mags.Last edited by SafetyOptional; 03-16-2017, 9:11 PM.Comment

There have been instances where rifles have sheet the bed right out of the box but SA takes care of it. Some choose to put NOS parts into the rifles. Their choice.
Detail strip it and lube it properly before break in and enjoy.

Put a few hundred rounds before deciding on making any changes.
Try to find 10/20 Checkmate, SAI or GI mags.
Put a decent sling-GI web, or Turners/Ron Brown. Don't need Les Tam.
Take a Garand Clinic or Appleseed. (Garand clinic was better)
Have fun with it!Comment
