You could try to find a barrel screw and cut it to length such that the barrel part goes through the whole gun. And nothing sits on threads (no good!)
Easiest might be to make your own factory rivet. Take a regular rivet or stock mild steel rod at the proper outer diameter. Cut to length such you maybe have 1/32-1/16 inches sticking out on each side. Drill out the center on one side (doesnt have to be all the way through). And then flare that out with a ball bearing and hammer. Insert into the gun, drill out the center of the other side.. and then flare that.
