My AK came with a "blond" wood, I like the darker finish your setup has more. Your rifle looks great! congrats on a successful conversion.

Thanks! I looked at and considered a Century Arms AK with blond wood; but, it just seemed too "pretty".

Had the same issue when installing a Russian red set. Whole lot of fitting required.
