    This is correct.
I do believe that, where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence... I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honour than that she should, in a cowardly manner, become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. -- Mahatma Ghandi

I've seen a bunch of mechanic wannabees think they are smarter than the engineer who put that thing together.

Why? Because they could put the whole thing back together with way less bolts than originally came with it.

      Ya, it's like that!

Better yet; let's see the handy work. Show us the pivot pin hole you mangled up trying to install it with an armorer's wrench.
Do you mean the bolt release pin? If so I banged that one up pretty good my first time around, but because I used a regular punch instead of the one designed for a roll pin.

Definitely get a good set of punches OP, both regular and roll pin.

Lowers are easy to assemble without a vice block or real workbench. The upper is more difficult, especially the gas tube since the pin for it is so small. You can manage though

Pinch one end together with pliers so it starts to cone. Goes in no problem.

Yeah that's what I do but the angle of some gas blocks can tilt the pin making it more difficult. Persistence prevails!

I can see using a clam shell or armors wrench once in a life time but not a bench vise. That's a must have for any man's garage
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Are you talking about AR15's or something different?
I thought we were talking about specialized tools. The assumption (since he does automotive work) is that he owns basic mechanics tolls IE: punches , hammers, screwdrivers.
