I have a couple of questions (likely stupid ones):
    1. Do most people have one sight or do you get two (i.e. one with magnification and one without)?

    2. When you mount a sight, and let's say you take it off, when you re-mount it, do you have to re-align it?

    Thank you!
Generally speaking, you don't want to be removing sights a lot because you might have to re-zero your weapon. This is minimized by buying a quality mount but even then, its still possible to have things move when you reinstall your sight.

One possible solution is to get an upper for longer range and another one for CQB. Throw a scope on the longer range upper and a red dot or just stick with irons for the shorter one. Though if you like irons, theres far less reason to get the second upper, especially when you already have high quality folding irons on your current upper.

I like to wipe down the exterior metal surfaces very well to provide some protection. Slip 2000 or Ballistol are great.

Thanks, dude. Ya I went with the piston. Not sure if the DI comes with sights--looking on their website, it doesn't look like it does.
