    NitroxDiver...

Cool.. From other sources they're bringing in just the upper and apparently
    installing US-sourced barrels here....

Any chance this is a chrome-lined 4150CMV bbl instead of unlined 4140?

Bill, another report I read about it states its a hammer forged Taiwanese barrel, chrome lined, and will be finish profiled in the US for import reasons like HK does with the mr556. I look forward to the first waves showing up and the subsequent reviews, and more solid info. For $600, I'll probably grab one just because.

Here's the article where it mentions that. http://www.gunsandtech.com/news/tyan...3-media-event/

It's a piston driven AR based rifle that's been fielded for 40ish years by US allies... Not something that's been whipped up in a lab that uses the consumer as R&D.

Read this as "A-91" and was thinking to myself: "Where the hell am I supposed to find a lower?"

edit: That being said, if that front sight assembly fully rotates (ie: the assembly rotates, and not just the post), that would make for a nice HK-style sight picture. Really like the way that the handguard looks, too, although there doesn't appear to be a sling mount or any way to mount a light on there.

Here's an old thread from ARF...
Firearm Discussion and Resources from AR-15, AK-47, Handguns and more! Buy, Sell, and Trade your Firearms and Gear.

Apparently fielded by the Indonesians, Jordanians, Kuwaitis and folks from the UAE as well. According the the literature, the Jordanians felt it was reliable as an AK and as accurate as an AR, settling the age old debate of which platform is better.

What's a good complete lower to get for this to register before 2017 or does it not work that way?

Haha sorry for the confusion brother

I believe there is a way to mount a small piece of pic rail at 12 o'clock, and the "as issued" t91 has a small piece of pic rail at 6 o'clock.
As for the sling, it appears as though there is an HK style loop on the gas block left side that would accept an HK style snap hook maybe?

We'll know more I guess as the first ones start showing up. All I know is what was in the links above and the video.

It supposedly will work with any milspec lower. In the demo vid they have it on a f/a lower. As to the registration question, that's a topic that needs and has its own multiple threads already. I'd prefer if we can keep this one about the t91

I wonder if and what buffer weight works best with this upper. Noticed the bcg isn't like LWRC or other gas piston AR manufacturer. No shell deflector? WTH?
History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes
