    10/30 posers?

Ok I know I'm not going to make any friends with this one but does it bug anyone else when they see these 10/30 mags?

I know you guys argue that you like the look but It reminds me of rice rockets with V8 and NOS stickers everywhere even though they don't have them. I hate seeing a Mustang with a single pipe and GT badges. It just looks so wrong.

    I just don't get it.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

I think the real question to ask is why does it bother you so much ?

I voted no. It is no more poser than us having military STYLED rifles, yet they aren't really military rifles.

I don't have any issue with it. ARs just don't look right to me with 10 round magazines in them. If people want their ARs to look like they do in the free states, why is that posing? Its not the same as a Mustang V-6 posing as a Cobra where the car is pretending to be something it is not, an OLL is the same rifle as in the free states sans mag lock and 10 round magazine. It isn't like we wouldn't be using regular capacity magazines if we could.

Are you a poser for having a semi-automatic AR when real M-16s are select-fire?

For the record, I use 10 round and 5/20s when I'm at range.

I only have one fixed mag build right now - but I *do* run 10/30's in it.

                Here is why:

                1) I know that 10/30 mags will ONLY hold 10 rounds. This is especially true with AK mags (some of the 10/10's like to hold 11 rounds).

                2) I know that they will feed properly (again, some 10/10's don't feed well).

                3) I use it as a grip, and find that it is easier to handle than a 10 round mag.

Most 10/30 mags can be quickly converted (by bending a little tab back) to 30 rounders. This could be useful should the zombies start clawing their way out of the graveyards, or should you decide to move to a free state.

So no, this is not a "poser" thing, it is a tactical consideration.

Your argument for calling 10/30 users posers compares us to those with cars with certain qualities that "look so wrong." Last I checked a reason why people use the 10/30s is because it makes their rifles look so right. I dont get how it makes us posers. To me, using a tiny *** mag in an OLL makes it look wrong, and I think MANY will agree with me on that

No. No one makes any pretentions that they are "high capacity" mags.

By the way, are 22lr AR, wasr-22, or Tommy kit 10/22 owners posers as well?

o_o it's just preference of look. What your saying is the same as if someone called you poser for having a tan or camo gun because your not fighting in iraq. Or someone wearing a baseball cap if they're not playing. Don't get me wrong im not trying to hate or anything. It's just my 2cents

                              Diet Coke drinkers are posers.
