    Anyone going the reverse route?

Anyone plan on putting a bullet button to put a fh on?
Like a mini 14 or m1a so you can restore it to the original look or put a folder on it?

What? Isn't the "original look" on a Mini14 or M1A featureless?

Not on a mini or a M1A, the bullet button doesn't work that well with those types of magazines but a bullet button AR15 still works pretty good.

          Yeah that's true.
I was checking out the mini g and it looks cool mag fed with a prong. Then I was thinking the socom looks pretty cool with a prong to.
So I was thinking just to add a prong at the end.
Maybe the regular ones with brakes would be better.

How about a 3rd option: Anyone plan on signing petitions to stop this and let the people vote on it instead???

              No.
              They originally had flash suppressors.

what makes you think the AWB regulations will allow you to register a rifle that was originally purchased as a featureless rifle?

How will the DoJ / Bof verify that you are not manufacturing an AW post 1/1/2017 when you submit registration paperwork.

and before you say they have the burden of proof you did something wrong or illegal...NO they do not. YOU are requesting registration and YOU are required to furnish information about where, when and what you are in possession of. ...which leads to the question I asked...

                  I missed your question.
So a rifle bought as a receiver that has a bullet button can not be registered?

I really like the look of the prongs.

Through the same process they use for every registration submitted.

I went the reverse route about a year ago. Had one featureless AR and one AK. Just couldn't make myself happy with the way featureless rifles look. Today, they both sport a bullet buttons.

No, sorry I too remember the last Registration and I was never asked when and where and from who I bought my AW.

We were just required to furnish the maker model and caliber along with finger prints as I remember.

This time around the law is VERY different.

1- Maglocked rifles will be..let me repeat...will be AWs..and that is the ONLY reason given as to why you are allowed to register them because THOSE and ONLY those will be RECLASSIFIED under the new law.

2- The Law is FORCING DoJ / BoF into gathering information...ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE AND WHEN YOU GOT IT AND WHO SOLD IT TO YOU. There is only one reason to gather this... see # 1 as to why they need this information.

Nothing in the law allows the willy-nilly registration of grandpas Mini-14 so you can manufacture an AW.

I could be wrong and if I am... I'm going to buy a threaded barrel for my Glock 17 and install a Solvent Trap threaded device...but I can bet I'm not going to be able to do that.

If you buy a stripped lower it wouldn't automatically be an AW either. Same thing is true of a Mini14... you can put a BB on it and install it in an evil stock and then register it. Or an M1A.

They don't currently keep track of whether it's a BB'd gun or featureless.

Where on the DROS form does it indicate whether a firearm was featureless or bullet buttoned? You do realize that people can also buy stripped receivers, and then build them in any legal configuration they want, right? And you do realize that it has always been perfectly legal to convert firearms of one configuration to another as long as the end configuration remains in compliance with the law, right?

What the hell are you even talking about?
