An outright ban on long gun centerfire is the final nail in the coffin. it may take them a while longer to do but very possible. I see it in a socio-economic view. Wide margines of rich and poor. Rich want power with minimal risk of rebellion. Immigrants becoming citizens from countries where gun are outlawed and have little understanding of the American constitution. big money and long time liberal politicians pushing gun control on people who do not understand 2nd amendment rights. California is doomed to outright firearms ban.

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

To be Determined...
Remember the Cal legislature has another session this year and they can outlaw featureless then. I suspect they read all the workarounds here and have a stack of bills ready to outlaw all of them.
They are just getting started...Comment

WAY AHEAD of you guys......
I've been building this secretly in my Garage.......
It remains UNREGISTERED and it's the MAGNUM MODEL.
I plan to take it to the next Zombie shoot and launch rotten tomatoes towards
Sacramento.
May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Featureless is just " kicking the proverbial can down the road". It's just
dragging out the inevitable. If you want to own a semi auto AR type platform that is useful
and works the way it was INTENDED you may as well register. If you don't
want to register that's fine, also. PeteComment

what about those of us who want to Hunt, or pass our firearms down to our children...or loan our firearms to our children or friends...Featureless is just " kicking the proverbial can down the road". It's just

Well, you're out of luck with the present laws on the books. No amount of
beating this to death with threads on this forum is going to change any of
this bad legislation. Actually, beating this stuff to death on this site has
probably resulted in its own "unintended consequences". PeteComment

sorry to keep you up on current events...Heller and Harrott....please read them.
Featureless isnt going anywhere unless the POTUS and congress pass an AWB.Comment

Not so according to NRA, AB 1663 defeated for 2016 legislative session: http://www.nramemberscouncils.com/le...1663&year=2016
Are we still in 2016 session, commencing today? I don't know.
In any event, I think featureless are basically untouchable under the 2nd Am. If banned here prospectively and held constitutional (unlikely), they would have to prospectively ban semi-auto handguns. Moreover, statutes overwhelmingly acknowledge featureless along with court decisions which distinguish an AW from a regular semi-auto centerfire rifle.Last edited by ifilef; 08-01-2016, 5:40 PM.Comment

No, they provide that the lower courts cant determine what an AW is and what they can willy nilly ban...or that a state cant ban guns out right...the AG had a time frame to add AWs to a list... then the list was FOREVER locked and only features determine an AW... so featureless is protected.
Featureless isnt going away unless they over turn the 2nd A.
Killary will try that...Comment

California could do an Oz and ban all semi-auto firearms. With "no legal controlling authority" from the Clinton administration, expect no relief from the Feds if that happens here.
Like immigration and pot laws, the Feds can ignore any laws they want. And they do.Comment

I had a vision of what "SHTF" will look like:
Superfly Ron O'Neal and a mixed bag of Russian and Cuban paratroopers will launch a daytime raid on a strategically vital target, a rural high school. A 30 Year old American guy who still hangs out at his old high school will lead a ragtag band of pimply, cracking voiced kids into the hills and they will proceed to mop up the enemy with deer rifles and single action revolvers. When the 30 year old guy discovers the Russians have destroyed his truck by throwing a stop sign through the windshield, he sends the most expendable member of the wolverines to take out Russian HIND chopper with small arms fire. Eventually, the old dude rests at his field headquarters which is a barn and unwinds with some sweaty bare chested Bikram hot yoga.
Eventually, William Smith will show up, having been minted as a Russian General as a reward for his performance in the Jackson Hole street fight against Philo Beddoe.
William zippers the two lead characters with his commie subgun, after he hears the younger one yell "Winning!!" while singlehandedly mowing down a battalion of Spetznas with a captured AK.
General William, remembering the mercy Philo showed him in Jackson Hole, waves off the wounded Wolverines as a sort of "Pay it Forward."
The end.Last edited by Bobby Ricigliano; 08-05-2016, 10:31 PM.Comment
