Let's also be rational about this. How much 6.5 do you really need? 5 years worth? Decades worth?
Figure it out. Then buy accordingly and to your budgetary and spatial constraints.
People are acting all chicken little right now with their firearms purchases and sales. Don't panic prematurely. Keep calm and make rational choices.Comment

OP, you have some time, over a year.
Order ammo online in the interim and stock up. You've got time to watch for deals, but keep the election in November in mind.
Read about reloading in the interim. Once you've stockpiled a decent supply, then shift to building a reloading setup, developing a good load, and stocking components.Comment

100yds with a 24" Brownells barrel. At what distance? I'll have to try the PPU too.
See here in post #34 and pic post #30 http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...hlight=grendel
Yeah, I bought the SST and some cheap wolf too to make sure the rifle even works. I have yet to take it out tho. Going in a couple weeks to ASR.Comment

Since this is kinda headed towards reloading. About how much is the start up cost in equipment for some one without any. Just reloading equipment, simplest platform.WTB 3rd Gen SW also looking for a 22 pistol with 6" bbl or longerComment

This has been my concern since I heard about the law. Less selection and higher prices will be a major outcome of the law.So I'm just about done building my 6.5 Grendel. After some reading, seems Hornady SST ammo is the only ammo worth feeding it. Anyway, that's fine for now (asides the $1.00/round) but once the ammo ban takes affect I'm afraid the more obscure caliber ammo will be hard to find at your LGS. Since I'm not a reloader, I guess it's going to be buy it by the truck load. Anyway, just a thought.
I don't see how this law solves any problems and it is unenforceable, so all it will do is make law abiding citizens lives miserable. Which is what they wanted.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

What do you base these conclusions on? The law is primarily a demand shifter, not a supply shifter.Comment
