With that said, this means that it is the Democrats that help keep and raise their Benefits, Salaries, Pensions, Healthcare, etc. If they are going to do that, then the Unions pretty much take on the Platform of the Democratic Party. Hence, the union will support Gun Control Measures (Not Always, but most of the time). Now days, the fight for your future salaries, benefits, etc. will out weigh your wanting to push for 2nd amendment rights. Police/LEO's fight gun control on an individual level, but do not ask their Union their Police Agency (here in CA) to take on that fight (not popular and will get management fired/replaced). Unless they are in a "Red" voting district.

We need Republican Leaders to stop fighting the Police and Firefighter Unions and join forces with these agencies. They could do a lot of good if they did. Then the Unions would be able to advocate for more conservative legislation without the threat of a backlash on pay/benefits.

Yes Unions have a lot of Power and influence here in CA... but rarely will they bight the hand that feeds them (Democrats). They vote those people in to be sympathetic to their primarily needs (pay/benefits, etc.) and will take the bad that goes along with it.... gun control, taxes, restrictive laws, etc. For after retirement you can always leave this state and move to a less restrictive one. So many do and I am happy for them.
Been saying this for a long time here. The Dems control both State Houses, by huge majorities, and have the Governorship. Dems have been in nearly complete control for so long that unions have no choice but to support them in order to obtain any benefits for their members. Not rocket science. To support a republican, or independent candidate would be unproductive, and likely lead to lawsuits for violating their fiduciary responsibilities to the memberships best interests.

Different states can make their own interpretations, but my guess is this latest decision will likely make machine guns prohibited nation-wide. Read the decision.

Doesn't sound like it to me. Unless they over rule the Supreme Court. It says in your article that the Supreme Court has ruled in the past that they are subject to regulation not prohibition.

The only way the Dems will give workers benefits is if the workers vote for them? What benefits do the union workers get in exchange for their dem votes? Union dues? What a racket.

I suppose we could boycott dealers that sell to CA law enforcement, but I'm not sure it would be effective. Its not active LE I have a problem with, its the idea that retired and off duty officers get a pass.

Whats worse, the Azz Holes in Sac exempted themselves.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.
