Hitting a 30" gong with an AK while prone, at 400 yards, 6 out of 10 times isn't good enough. AK sights were designed to acquire a target and put automatic fire onto that target. With regard to a semi automatic rifle, which is what is available to us here in the Golden State, I find them wanting. Bottom line is, you have more than a few hundred yards between two equally trained adversaries, the guy with the AK dies first.

I have a converted saiga which I shoot almost every week. I've shot plenty of ARs and I have a lot more fun with the AK. I shoot steel cases Tula which is cheaper than any AR ammo. More recoil and a lot more fun in my opinion.

Yes, what modular attachment can be attached to AR that I can't on AK? Grips, stocks, hanguards, optics, muzzle devices, sights, etc......all of these can be changed or swapped, so what modular thing are we talking about? Swapping uppers? Nothing good about it, own plenty AKs in many calibers and barrel lengths.
Yes, just as accurate. Not talking about bull barrel bench AR, off the rack basic AR is as accurate as any factory WASR. It's the girly men who can shoot anything with recoil bigger then a .22 usually have a problem with AK accuracy.

No, but idiotic statment about killing fellow countryman is just that, idiotic.....same as "two way range" idotic comment. I know that if it comes down to it (God forbit), my enemy on this soill wouldn't be wielding an AK.

Yes (^) I was referring to jarhead's post and it's pretty clear statment....you at one point also made a statment about "two way range" with opposition having an AK...to lazy to dig it up but it's not all that old.
Thanks, I look at it as more of a tool then looks, posting photos is to share (give other ideas/options).
As to outshooting, maybe you can or maybe you can't. I'm constantly amazed by their accuracy, the weapon platform is way more then satisfactory up to 500yd....and I'm firm beliver in good optic... One of the many reasons I also prefer the platform, AK specific optics are just way to.cool.

All in all.... Ide say an AK feels and shoot a lot different than any other rifle I've shot. For sure worth having in your collection.
