We have to break him down to build him up...Comment

I always thought the general consensus around these parts were that we shouldn't alter our actions just because someone's feelings might get hurt.. That leads to a weaker America type of thing right? Or did we change and I didn't get the memo..Comment

Yes, constructive criticism ccan be helpful, but I didn't see very much constructive about the criticisms above. Telling him it was bad shooting without offering any advice on how to improve is just a waste of everyone's time.Last edited by CandG; 05-30-2016, 8:21 PM.Comment

The new guys, everyone can blast and mock all they want. The Mods or Admin here wont say a thing to them.
There is no freedom of speech here and not everyone is as equal as others.Comment

more details
I appreciate all the feedback .. shot 223 55gr sitting down no bipod becase my rifle had proprietary rail. riffle was heavy its a piston rifle. . no need to argue with the naysayers . im sure these groupings are not as good as everyone else.
once again this is a hobby. I felt good about it. I just wanted to share itComment

OP, first off, welcome. With that scope and rifle, you should be blowing out the center red with all of those shots. Some suggestions:
1. Get some sandbags. I use one for the front and the rear. You can really cinch up the rear so nothing moves. A sled would be even better but that seems a little cheating to me.
2. Have you replaced the trigger? The stock milspec trigger is very gritty and doesn't break very clean. I put one of these in mine and it made a big difference - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/305...le-stage-matte
3. Do you shoot with both eyes open? You should.
Keep practicing and enjoy the setup you have. Looks like a nice one.Comment

Guys, he's new. He even said so, lay off.
What's the ammo?
You should try and find a coach or shoot a CMP match/appleseed somewhere local to you, something is going wrong in the system (scope, bipod, ammo, anticipating the shot, trigger control, focus, etc) that will be quickly and easily addressed by someone watching you shoot.
If you are in SoCal hit me up. If you are in the Sac area Highpower above comes across as a dick on the internet but he's a great guy and a good coach.
helping us with trigger control, focus?Comment

Sit on the living room floor Indian style and snap in. Get a sling and learn how to use it. If I were you, new to the hobby, I would take off that glass and use irons. Optics and mounts can be frustrating even to seasoned shooters. Learn to breathe, learn your trigger (milspec or not) and you will improve rapidly.Comment
