It is now assembled. Well, it was basically assembled hours ago, but I took a break. I agree that the A2 looks more natural. I installed my retro salvage instead of the grey one that was brand new. the LUTH-AR will go on my next build (: (before and after pictures attached)

Also, it's got a pretty large magazine in it (just happened to have one lying around; largest that would fit) and a regular magazine release. This is why I like featureless.

I purchased the 18" midweight ARP TRIAD target crowned 6.8 barrel, the NiB coated ARP bolt and carrier, a YHM steel clamp gas block and a stainless steel had tube, a few accuwedges--because my Spartan upper doesn't fit perfectly to either of my lower receivers ): -- and a lot of ammunition to feed my other kids... I don't have any 6.8 though, and I need to buy some. I also want to get some nonlead so I can take this hog hunting after I get my HT and license. I think I'll also finish the 80% in the next couple weeks.

Got my router today. Going to try to get this milled in the next couple weeks. Need to find something to mount my vice to. Considering building a 3' cube table (and also mounting reloading stuff on it) for a semi-portable work station... will post pictures if I go that route :b

Finally milling the paperweight this weekend! Also...recieved my barrel/bolt/carrier! Picture with the Spartan left-side charging non-reciprocating upper and carbon fiber handguard.

So last night I finally got this out together! I can't wait to shoot it! I think I'll prioritize setting up for and milling my 80% paperweight with the rest of my weekend though.

Absolutely! Dillman isn't the best range around, but it's good for what it is, the most convenient outdoor range when time is a factor If we have more time next time, we can hit some BLM land in the area - far more relaxed and fun, in my opinion.
