I've tried several set screw type extensions (including Krebs and Zenit) on several different AKs but no matter how much Loctite I use they all eventually work their way off, usually in a dramatic fashion.
I haven't had much luck finding a weld-on type (except that old vertical Galil-style from Krebs, but I'm not into it). Should I get one that's steel and just tack it on? Anyone done this? Any other ideas?

If it ain't broke why fix it? Russians don't seem to think its an issue. Same can be said about the 1911 but over 100 years going and folk still buy the GI model. Just food for thought, we all own our own rifles and we can modify them to how we see fit (legally of course).
