Installed on a new Magpul MIAD which replaced a Larue pistol grip. I also have a couple of Mission First Tac finned grips. The Exile fin is a bit pricey, but works great. I found that with the thumb rest it tended to feel more like I could hold it in a more natural grip that I could with the MFT grip. The MFT grip includes the fin and grip so it is much more economical.

The pros for me are that it easily installs and so far seems to provide a more natural ability to grip well. The negatives are the price and surprisingly to me, the finish. I know these are printed but the finish was more coarse than I think it should be. I would rather see a molded version with a better finish especially for the price. I did buy it from Amazon.

A side note, I liked shopping at your old site as you seemed to sell more items.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I've asked here, one other thread, and sent a PM. No response at all.

We decided this summer that our core business is compliance parts for customers in restricted states, so we shut down our drop-shipping business permanently. What inspires us to wake up and chew through the restraints each morning is not getting some rifleman in Kentucky the best price on a flash hider, but ensuring that customers living under the boot of state oppression continue to be able to keep and bear.

No updates but we're working on it. It will not simply be an injection molded version of the existing 3D printed product, but something much greater, and that's all we'll be saying about that.

Pictures of the BackFin on two my ARs. One has a Troy Industries Ambi-Safety and the other has a Noveske STS Ambi-Safety.

I'm trying to attach the fin to the grip, I can't figure out how to attach the clip. My fin didn't include instructions and there aren't specific directions online. Would someone describe how to affix the clip to the fin, please?

We released the design under a creative commons license awhile back and we're starting to see other folks producing the product for profit, which is great. As long as the seller does not misrepresent the product as being produced by us we are OK with it. We released complete specs for how to produce the product including machines used and materials required.

If your seller is not producing the spring out of nylon you are receiving a product that will not function properly. The spring should be of a clear/white nylon material (the only material we have found to have the required mechanical properties is Taulman 910 alloy nylon).

On future support requests we are requiring the customer to supply an Exile Machine or Amazon.com order number. We will not provide support for products manufactured by other sellers. If you purchased the product from another seller you should contact that seller for product support.

I accidently bought a LH one, got a RH one but it'll cost me money to return it. Might end up giving it away to someone here.
