I didn't see the cross pin hole, or the latch at the base of the grip.
If this thing gets loose and falls off, it's potential trouble.
Does separating the upper and lower really get you off the hook for an AW?
Thumb rest is a good idea, needed a thumb rest, otherwise you end up using the forward assist as one.

I like the concept. My issue with grip wraps has always been what do you do with the thumb.

I'm assuming the photos are of a prototype? Looks "home made" in the photos.

Very nice, but the shelf is unnecessary it would obstruct the function of the
ambi-safety, also offer it untrimmed for AK.

Any idea of total weight (with grip)?...

Might seem trivial - but it took a lot of effort and money to get to 4.5 lbs and I'd love to find a decent featureless option...

I suspect it's as much or more than A2 + kydex... But maybe not?

          Weight aside, nice idea

I'd like to see a shelf-less option too

isnt there something in the AW law about a rifle being easily configured to make it an assault weapon? I like the Solar Tactical sleeves because they need 3 screws to be removed for the sleeve to be released...on this one all you need is a flat blade screwdriver and enough force to take it off..wouldnt that make it easily configured? I mean I ve glued and even riveted grip sleeves so they cant come off...just need one cop who thinks it comes off too easily is all Im saying..should be a pin to retain it is all Im thinking..

Very cool, any plans on production that isn't UV sensitive?

so both configurations require a flat blade screw driver - but the one that requires "force" would be illegal, while the other that requires a few left rotations is not?

you can rivet this the same way you rivet your kydex sleeve...

From what I can tell, there isn't anything about this that would be less (or more) compliant than kydex fin (and vice-versa)

this thing should be fairly light. its 3d printed hopefully from ABS if its PLA it will be lighter but cant take warm temperatures (leaving it in a hot car would warp it). Depending on the infill it would trade strength for weight. my guess is it would be a little more than a kydex wrap depending on how big the fin is on the kydex, but still not heavy by any means.

This is most likely ABS 3d printed not the UV style printing so while its not UV sensitive it wont take a ton of heat. On the good side since they don't have anything invested in tooling a little manipulating of the digital file and they can make all these different variations that people are requesting fast, easily, and cheaply.
