If we see the demand for the product increase we might consider it. There was extremely low participation in the email notification list when we had the product listed on our site.



Right now all engineering and production resources on Backfin products are directed at Backfin for MIAD and Backfin for CAA UPG. Backfin for MIAD is actively being transitioned to an injection molded form.

I got a shipping notification this morning after purchase of my Miad backfin. Is there no way to get the injection molded version?

There will be after it has been manufactured. Current estimate is late Q1 2017. We're planning on some sort of upgrade deal yet to be finalized.

Got mine today and have to say it was nicer then the picture shows. I am really happy with the purchase and glad I choose the Backfin. Do you guys make it in magpul FDE?

Thanks. We've been working on continuously improving the product. 3D printed product will continue to be black only but the injection molded product will come in Black, FDE, ODG, maybe stealth gray if we judge there to be sufficient demand for it.

We did not consider it a safety issue. There was a small number of customers who purchased a product that was affected by the recall. They have been refunded and advised to discontinue use of the product. Customers with a Backfin for BCM Mod 2 who haven't been notified of the recall may continue to use the product. I really wish you guys would continue production for the BCM. It looked amazing just was heartbreaking to have to toss it in the trash after all the tabs snapped. Please don't kill the model!

Took the new Exile Backfin to the range and have to say I love it. For me not being able to wrap my thumb around the grip is not a issue, and having the thumb rest built in is great. Best part no more BB.

I will be placing another order. Thank Exile for a great product.

Just installed this on my wasr. It feels great! I have a lot more control of my rifle compared to the monster man grip that I have on my other ak. Thinking of throwing one on my ar now it feels very nice. I'll update once I take it to the range.
