    What range ammo for AK47?

Most AK ammo are magnetic or corrosive. The non magnetic and non corrosive ones cost around $0.50 per round. What do you use for AK range ammo?

    Yugo M67 from SGAmmo- http://www.sgammo.com/product/762x39...e-yugo-surplus

It's corrosive, but this isn't a big deal if you clean your rifle after shooting it.

I am wondering if this site is legit or what. They are haVing a 42% off grand opening sale, so 1000 rounds of new manufacture brass case x39 ammo is like 160 or something.

1000 rounds of 124gr reman for about $90

1000 rounds of new manufacture 124gr XTP HP for 130 shipped.

Is this too good to be true? I ordered 500 rounds of 9mm for 80 shipped in early Sept and still haven't gotten it, and they send out an email every few days apologizing, saying they're new and weren't equipped to handle the volume of orders.

Anybody else have any experience with "Homeland Munitions?" The prices are insane.

They're having a 42% off grand opening sale... coupon code is 42RECON15. I would order more, or cancel my 500 order and get 1000 for 30 bucks more if I could find anything anywhere saying they were legit.

But I thought the whole point of shooting AK is so that you dont have to clean after every shoot.

If your the type of person that doesn't keep your firearms clean then corrosive ammo might not be a good choice for you. With M67 ammo you can get away without cleaning it for about a week before things start to rust.

I'm just the type that likes to get as much use as possible out of my firearms so I clean them after shooting... Most of the time.

I shoot m67 in my AK. It's been 100% surefire. When I get home I take off the top cover and wash out the barrel and internals with a garden hose. I blow it out with air and then oil. Over the last year and many outings I have zero corrosion.

I have not cleaned any of my AKs in several years and have shot a lot of M67 through them. They are stored in a fairly dry environment and have yet to show signs of anything resembling significant corrosion.

Red Army Standard Elite. $.50/rd, but it's not bimetal and is noncorrosive and reloadable. Other than that, Yugo.

With a garden hose... NICE! lol

I'm a little more meticulous. I'll boil up some distilled water, pour it over my rifle with a turkey baster and clean. Then I'll spray my rifle with some WD-40.

The one time I did get some rust I wasn't able to clean my rifle for a week (traveling) and I was staying about nine miles from the coast. The whole week it was foggy and I'm sure this helped to accelerate the rusting.

Wolf yellow box, it's steel cased but the projectile is not magnetic! Supposedly its ok to shoot at burro or Angeles! Since I got my ak pistol last year, Ive only gone to rauhauges (sp?) and shoot tulammo or whatever is cheap!

I thought Wolf discontinued the yellow-box ammo?
