Yes, putting a EBR stock on an M1-A does not ruin it -- in a FREE STATE -- but HERE, in California, PUTTING A BB or locking the mag in place RUINS it. Yes -- ruins it -- and you missed the key point -- when we RUIN an already compliant rifle to conform to the asinine CA laws, we aren't "winning" or "Beating the DOJ" we are letting them win. We should proudly keep the few rifles that managed (and I still don't know who the people at Ruger and Springfield were blowing back then-) somehow to avoid the AWB. Every compliant rifle we RUIN to conform to their laws for the sake of a pistol grip, is a LOSS for us.
