Well you need to explain what it is that you want better. Fixed micro irons on what? By fixed do you mean not folding, or non-adjustable?

I like silver solder more. I soldered my Knights Armament micro front and 200-600m rear. Both in the fixed up position and in the elevation/windage mechanisms. I just know to shoot a little high left when I use them, and it's super fast for optic-to-iron transitions.

No, they don't get much smaller than that. You can't exactly change the height, and if they're made too flimsy they'd just get bent, plus you still need some mechanism to adjust them. Folding sights can definitely be made without the protective ears and such, but of course they're folded and out of the way 99% of the time.
