I just built a Gibbz G9 carbine recently. Their receivers are quite nice, the only thing I don't care for is that the G9 doesn't have a LRBHO. However, with that said, it's pretty rad and I love shooting this thing.

This was my build:
- Gibbz Arms side charging G9 receiver set (accepts Glock mags)
- SMOS Arms GFY 13.6" MLok rail (exactly the same as the Noveske NSR Rail)
- Geissele SSA trigger
- JP Enhanced 9mm bolt
- JP Silent buffer
- Rosco 14.5" Bloodline 9mm barrel
- Lantac Dragon 9mm muzzle break
- Aimpoint T2 w/ Geissele lower 1/3 co-witness mount
- Some Magpul furniture
- Seekins ambi safety selector and some other LPK stuff

So far, it's ran flawlessly.

G9 doesn't have a LRBHO

Thanks for mentioning that. Lack of a LRBHO is not a dealbreaker, but it sure it nice to have one.

For me it's not so much the speed in reloading, but the tactile feedback you get so you know you're empty.

Cripes, that thing is almost the size of a silencer. Post if you find a good handguard to use. All the ones on my guns are too small.

I know the samson evo and evo keymod handguards work with it, but any handgaurd that can fit over a suppressor should work just fine.

@ $35ish, wouldnt it be cheaper to go XL slim (1.2 OD) comp than to find a handguard that would fit the 1.4 version?

The PSA buffer that I've been running is coming apart so I'm thinking about getting a heavier buffer. I know if it's not broke why fix it but the blackened soot on my spent cases makes me think I'll get more complete burn on my loads. What weight buffer are most of you guys running? The load I run most is 147gr Xtreme hollow points over wst powder

I have an FM buffer, 6.4 ounces, from Brownell's. It's also extra long so you don't have to screw around with a stack of quarters or other jerry-rigged nonsense.
