THE COMPLETE 9MM AR15 BUILD/INFO THREAD

Question to the resident AR-9 experts.
I was having multiple problems on my AR-9 build. Finally have the kinks worked out and had a great day at the range.
One problem was failure to eject. Based on this thread and other information on the internet, I bend the ejector in my vice and reinstalled it with the ejector closer to the BCG. At the range, 100% perfection.
Yet, when I pull back the charging handle (and BCG) slowly, I feel the BCG nudge the ejector as it passes by.
So, is my ejector too close to the BCG? Or based on the performance today, should I leave it as is?Comment

When I tuned the ejector on my AR 9mm, I did it gradually bit by bit testing the ejecting each time until the cases (dummy rounds) briskly flipped away from the rifle. Before that, the ejection was much weaker with the rounds just dribbling out of the ejection port. The bending was such a minute change, but made all the difference in the world. Off course, a final field test proved everything was working perfectly with no spent cases failing to eject and jamming up the rifle.Last edited by loademup; 04-05-2019, 4:13 PM.Comment

Upon further review, the hammer itself is what nudges the BCG. When you look at the BCG from the magwell, my ejector wasn't touching at all. I've cycled the charging handle numerous times now and see the ejector running in the BCG slot close enough yet not touching to get the spent cartridges out.Comment

What trigger are you using?Comment

I know some triggers do have issues with 9mm PCC builds. CMC makes one specifically for these builds in case ur interested.Comment

Any experience with Torkmag glock block adapter? I have a few lowers I'd like to use one for a 9mm build.
Few of the glock adapters out there are the same price of a NFA 9mm dedicated glock lower.Comment

Not sure I like the idea of having to cut up Glock mags in order to work. It might limit you as far as using non-Glock mags. Of course, if you want to use it in a RAW or M16, you don't want to buy a different lower. Otherwise I'd be more inclined to get a 9mm-specific lower for Glock or Colt mags. PSA lowers are usually under a hundred bucks.Comment

I believe not. Needs to have a certain ramp on the bcg for the glock mags. But others can chime in. Mine takes glock mags and I remember having to buy a bcg that's compatible with it. I believe I got the JP bcg for glock mags
