I've got my 9mm AR running flawlessly with Colt mags, and put together for under 600 bucks.

Now I want to put together a Glock mag lower and a 40S&W upper... guess I should go re-read this whole thread and see if there's any leads.

Nice, with the parts from PSA, I was able to get one put together for under $450ish.

              Here's one I've seen for 40s&w

Yea, that's the 40 upper I've been kind of looking at...I want the A4 upper version though, that comes on their complete Glock mag rifle!
Will this upper, work with a Glock mag lower?

I think I was actually around 475 for my 9mm upper too, plus cost of the rear sight. I got the same 399 PSA kit. Screaming deal. Now I've got an Aimpoint on it that cost more than the whole dang thing, but it's so much fun!

After over a thousand rnds the carbine got cleaned. Still running great but of course if it's running great mess with it, right?
My only complaint is the sprong sound from the buffer. I'm thinking about changing it out to a Tubb silicon flat wire to see if that will help.
Has anyone used this spring and if so what are your thoughts?

Oly also makes a Glock mag lower now too! I'll start keeping an eye on the lone wolf. Their G9 lower has been out of stock forever though.

I've got my NFA lower milled and am waiting on a BCG and LRBHO Upper. Curious if there is an ETA as well.

                          PSA Hybrid bolt carrier

I received this PSA Hybrid bolt carrier last week. I am still gathering parts for my build. One thing that I noticed about it was that the firing pin has to be pushed pretty far in for it to barely protrude out the other side. It almost looks like a regular hammer would not be able to push it in far enough. Anyone else have one of these? any insight?

Is there supposed to be a cutout on the bottom for the hammer to pass through?

Blowback Bolts use reverse spring loaded inertial firing pins. The hammer should never be able to physically extend the pin beyond the Bolt Face. All is well with what you're describing.

Ok great! Thank you for that. I was concerned that I would have to send this thing back.

I used a KAK magblock in a billet lower with set screw bolt catch to make it an easy switch back to the .300blk upper that normally sits on top. The barrel is a BA and the bcg is a KAK also. Apparently , they all get along. Only problem I had was loading the stick mags, they are a serious PIA so a Lula smg mag loader is on the way.
