    PSA Freedom Melinite?

Anyone have one? Not the stainless, but the freedom melonite.

Thinking about getting the 16" middy

Melonite is the same finish that Glock uses on their guns. It goes on more evenly than chrome lining so it's more accurate and durable
    Can DI AR's run dirty?

      Well, pulled the trigger.

      It's this one:

was $199 but now its out of stock. Guess i got mine in time.

@ munnyshot, the melonite if done right is probably minutely more accurate than chrome lining if done on the exact same barrel, but it's probably not as accurate as other big brands' chrome lined barrels.

i'll be happy with 3-4moa though since its a blaster.

Yeah you'll be getting 1-2 going by reviews of owners.

Here is the thing. Melonite barrels need to be broken in first. Then melonited.

less worried about it affecting accuracy as i am about it just making it last longer and not rust

I have a friend who shoots 6cm claims he claims Melonite can double your barrel life over plain steel.

Melonite is a surface treatment while chrome living is a coating, so Melonite is applied it will be more uniform vs chrome lining no matter who applies it.
