So does anyone know of a good gunsmith in the south bay area that can help me convert this and install a bullet guide?

its 922(r) compliance, do your research before giving advice!Do not file anything. Do not remove the safety lever. Take off the top cover move safety into the safe position. If you push it up higher than safe position it will expose itself, grab the safety with your hand and bend it away from the receiver a little at a time until it fits your liking. Look up r22 compliance before you go any further with changing parts.
Enjoy your rifle.
I like your style!Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt

Replying to Zuverza...I wanted to try and convert my rifle myself and add the bullet guide. I've watched youtube videos and saw some online instructions. But I'm so afraid of screwing it up. I'd rather pay a gunsmith. I'm not handy with tools. I'm also new to firearms.
So again. Does anyone know of any decent gunsmiths who can help convert a Vepr and install a bullet guide? Thanks everyoneComment
