"This is about 30 days (at most) of steel casing and approximately 80% of it is from AK usage. The other brass is from RPD's or PKM's."

I wonder what a Khyber Pass AK might do?

what I learned today: going to the range is considered "real world" use.

keep in mind this is a full auto range.
as someone pointed out there is going to be significantly much more stress on anything going for full blast.

imagine trying to take your daily driver car to the Indy 500 that might shorten its life as well.

but it was very interesting to read and thank you p220nut, for posting it.

I remember renting a 1911 in 45 ACP, that had a lot of custom parts like beaver tail, skeletonized trigger, adjustable sights...etc. done to it at some point in its life span, then it probably been traded in on something new.
was it a shame a nice gun and great shooter ended up at a rental range or is that what guns are meant for, lots of shooting.

Has anyone else here worked at a gun rental range and can you share some stories of durability of certain brand names over others?

chambering a cartridge, firing and ejecting it and repeating is real world for a gun-

what other variables would you introduce?
