    22 cal AR15 questions

Please let me know if I am wrong, from what I understand I can build an AR in 22 caliber with all of the evil features including detachable magazines since it is a rimfire cartridge not a centerfire cartridge. AM I right?
Also if this is ok would there be a difference to a dedicated upper vs a conversion kit. My only thinking is that they could argue that with a conversion kit you can still shoot 223 ammo. What do you guys think?

AMAZING!!! This is an ongoing thread. Who would have thought that your questions have already been answered. (There are many threads other than the one cited below that answer your questions as well).

      Yes to the fist question.
My opinoin i would go with a dedicated upper .

Model 1 has got some really nice alternatives, including longer barrels and a varmint version. I bought a Spike's with Lothar Walther barrel, though, because I wanted the Spike's improvements.
