I bought a cheapo Chinese one and my experience with it was that the built-in bipod feature was very handy. However the grip is very beefy, very heavy, there was rattling inside of it, and it felt very cheaply made. I doubt the bipod legs would stand up to heavy recoil. The real ones would probably be fine (as far as strength and durability goes) as FN put them on both their 5.56 and 7.62 SCAR rifles.

Grippods are handy, but they're big and heavy.
I wouldn't want one in a tactical course, but they're nice for field and range work.

The LaRue grip is nice. It's CNC from polymer and the metal parts are also CNC.
The Tango Down is great and available in different colors and length.
Stay away for CCA/First Samco. I got a free one but it won't fit into 1913 rail. It wasted my time to make it fit. It ended up I cut too much of it so it's a little lose.Comment

I picked-up a GG&G for less than $40. It's not as nice as the LaRue but for the price, it fits tight and works like a champ. I likit allot.
