The point I'm making is that there are plenty of options available for less than the price you've claimed it's jumped to.

gunbot.net is a good directory for many calibers, but isn't always up today.

When it comes to 223 I always buy 1,000 rounds at a time because like you said bulk is cheaper therefore I am able to only look at the total price to see if it has gone up or down. I don't buy lose boxes here and there so there is less need for me to calculate the price per round. It's really no different then what everyone else is doing.

Walmart has single boxes for around that price per round, but you have to wait in line.
