i believe all the evil features arise from the need to create a definition of assault weapon. you can't just try to ban assault weapons without defining them. i could call you an assault weapon... then are you banned? no, you have to define what it is.

they tried to ban an entire class of firearms. they tried to do this by banning all currently produced assault weapons by name, with a big list, but they knew that there would come a time where names would change and manufacturers would sprout up. to address the future arms they listed common features on assault weapons.

they tried to do a entire ban without banning all semi automatics because no one would ever fly for the banning of all semi automatics.

what's interesting is would they have been more successful if they only name CERTAIN assault weapons you could have and a gun had to be ONLIST for you to acquire it? just like the handgun roster?

Personally, I think the U15 looks a lot better than the MMG grip.
But regardless of personal tastes, why would anyone put a less erogonomic, less comfortable feature on a weapon that they'll be shooting with a lot.

I think if the U-15 cost less, I would have considered it more carefully...

Maybe not. Some of the older Hollywood gun play was done with live ammo. Also, I didn't watch the video that carefully but, with smooth action on a 25-20, 32-20 or, something similar, anyone could do that with live ammo and some practice. But, except for a theatrical performance, why would anyone want to?

To spray bullets from the hip, why else?

well really i'm not giving them an idea. the legislative oppressors that be have conceded to condoning a short list of handguns. they readily and very openly acknolwdge the legality of these on the short list.

they would never condone a short list of assault weapons, it's too politically incorect for their end of the spectrum (what would be funny is IF such a short list would actually do a better job controlling the sales of neutered assault weapons). in fact this makes their overall intentions very clear. without outrightly saying so they saught to ban the ar15 adn the ak47 as well as other paramilitary type rifles. they'll never condone any ak or ar receivers (or any other paramilitary receivers). what they didn't know is that there would be work arounds due to their poor wording (or the poor wording was injected by smart lawyers on "our side".

What makes pistol grips deadly is that they are attached to guns. GUns are evil. An unloaded gun has been know to get out of your safe, load itself, and shoot a neighbor. We'll all be better off when they're gone.

And ranges will be quieter.

Very true! It IS much easier to shoot a regular rifle from the hip than a pistol grip, where the stock gets in the way! But then, the legislators would have actually done something right, and that just can't happen. Not in this Universe, anyway.
