You forgot to say, In My Opinion...

I have no problem using an AICS on my Remingtons in any regard. My hand fits fine in all positions.

I'll agree that it doesn't fit everyone but then again, nothing ever really does.

Wilshier, she is a beauty. Karsten did the stock?

Oh and here is what the final rifle will look like. I plan on getting my Mike Rock installed on it after the beginning of the year so the only thing that will be diff is the recoil lug, barrel and muzzle brake.

Damn, that looks wicked. Very nice job. I like the camo pattern. Are you putting on a Badger recoil lug when you get the barrel?

That's a slick scope... I had one with fixed objective... It's really the only scope that will serve for CQ and 1,000 yd shooting. LUUUV the EREK elevation turret. Traded it in on the old stand by Loopy MKIV TMR 4-14x40

Did you get it from CSgunworks in Elk Grove?

Yeah and an FTE brake. They are sitting on my reloading bench waiting for the barrel.

The rings are not matching. Point deduction.
SHINY crap on the tail end. Point deduction
GREEN CAMO??? Have we been paying attention? POINT DEDUCTION!!!
OEM bolt knob- NOT badger, 1/2 point deduction.
                        No Pod-loc- 1/2 point deduction.

It's ok though- yer' just starting out. Try again. Maybe next time your rifle will deserve to be in this thread.

hey hey, be nice. this is his first rifle.

on a side note, I was at a local Turner's last week. They were trying to sell a "custom" 700 for 2k. It was a Remington 700P with the barrel recut to 20inches. It sported a bottom end Leupold with some crappy rings and mount. It did have a badger bolt mod or at least it looked like badger, and a benchrest haris bipod. I told the guy behind the counter that it was false advertisment, and they stuck to the story that it was custom. I asked if the action was at least trued, and he said, "it had a custom barrel job" on it. BS!

Compared to what I saw last week, this green m40 wannabe rifle is much better.

It could be worse . . . it could be (God forbid) all black . . . the sign of a true tacticool virgin

By the way nice looking rig . . . did you rebarrel and/or true the action and reset the stock barrel?.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.
