I guess the replacement triggers will be less adjustable?

The newly expanded recall will go back to include 1962 manufactured rifles.

"The new recalls covers all Model 700’s made since 1962. Though likely to cost the company nearly a billion dollars and take years to complete"

I thinks more faulty users/owners than it's the triggers fault on the older Remingtons.

                    What crufflers said.
This is not the X Mark triggers.Different recall

This is all of the 700s with what they called the Walker triggers.Yea the trusty smooth, easy breaking ones.
Walker the designer himself warned the company Remington who he worked for.Apparently it would have cost a few cents back in the day.

This was broadcast on the news tonight.
I checked the Remington websight. There is no mention of it yet.Still just the X Trigger recall

I like many grew up wanting and buying Remingtons just because of that beautiful trigger.
Now that they have voluntarily recalled them. What to do?
Good triggers in my guns and liability.
Send them back for a 4lb plus pound WTH trigger.
Edit:After talking with a few other old guys like myself.I decided I will not do anything with the guns I own. They are good the way they are.

Calgunners keep bumping this.So not to be mistaken for the X Mark deal.

Yeah, this isn't the x-mark recall. This is for practically EVERY trigger made since 1962. Crazy.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                      Come on...what harm??

From what the articles have said, if we were to have our trigger replaced ourselves, we would be reimbursed. Would it be better to do this so that we get to chose our new trigger?

I have a 700P with original trigger. I am not sure what to do either.

Oh I know what to do! Go to youtube find videos that show you how to change a M700 trigger. Then get online and get a Timney or what ever else your heart desires, install it, and call it a day!

I have changed to Timney triggers on the 3 past M700 that I sold and they worked top notch! As for the two I currently own both have Timney triggers and also work well! I do not have time to sit and wait to get my rifle back in about 2 WEEKS to shoot it again!
Shoot to Kill not to Wound !

Links please? I'm interested. If that is true, I would consider getting a new trigger installed.
