The 7.62 cetme conversions are pretty cheap, but yours being nice and 7mm I don't think $300-350 is out of the ballpark.

Thank you! From what I could find on auctions they seem to go for somewhere in the $400 range but there are so many variables.. I think I will start at $350 and see where it goes..

After talking with so many of you, I have decided to become a CGN contributing member. There is so much good information here!
I listed this gun in the marketplace on this site for $300 which seems to be a very fair price, to see if a Cal Guns member might want it, if not I will be listing it on an Auction site.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. $250-350 would be reasonable. The problems that you will likely run into with this is that it is essentially a parts gun. The bolt doesn't match, but that is pretty common for Model 1916 Mausers. When the people broke into the armories, the bolts and rifles were stored separately. They were mostly civilians, and had no idea about head spacing. They simply slapped bolts into the rifles, loaded them up, and went off to fight the fascist troops. But the fact that many of the other numbers don't match kind of drops the value. I mean, I am only speculating on the rifle's history. If you could document it, it would be more valuable. But since it has been scrubbed, that history is really hard to document. Which was kind of the point. Basically what you have is a shooter. Its only value is as a rifle. Not a historical piece. And while you could very well find somebody who wants to pay towards the higher end of the scale, people are cheapskates. They will only look at is as another M1916. Which can be had in the $175-300 range most of the time. The good news is yours is nicer than a lot of them that are out there. Good luck with your sale!
