Somewhere, I believe that I have a fine polymer stock that comes with the very coveted SPS Varmint. I might let it go for $100, heck, you can talk me down to $50 if I am in a good mood.

        $100 for pillar bedding
        $350 for bottom metal
        $100 for a 20MOA rail plus installation

That $1k chassis now only costs $450. The B&C fully adjustable style 5 is $446.88
Except many people get a DBM for $100.

Its $100 now that PTG offers it.
Pillar bedding should be around $60
TPS 20 MOA steel rail is around. $75.

            Funny because its true?

Of course for the aspiring long range shooter on a budget, you could always try something like this just to see where it takes you.

This is how I glass bedded the recoil lug area on my Remington 700 Tactical .308 with Hogue Overmolded Stock. All pictures show the front action screw Pillar as a reference. I put a piece of scotch tape on the front of the lug for clearance - used the Brownells '1 Gun' kit from Cabelas /...

Don't forget the DIY grip angle modification and adjustable comb while ur at it... You could always try to epoxy and AR grip to it, if you want it a bit more AR-centric.

Are you saying you'd charge $135 to install supplied PTG bottom metal and a 20MOA rail (with 8-40 screws?) and bed and inlet a BC stock? Understanding the fact that you are the best deal in town you are still getting a lot from an Eliseo chassis that reduces it's overall actual cost.

$75 to inlet for PTG DBM
The B&C stocks already have pillars in them
$60 to step up to 8-40 screws, but the stock 6-48 screws are fine for most builds not hanging a PVS22 from the scope.
So you are right, that's $135 for both jobs.

Full aluminum bedding VS Pillar bedding VS No bedding.

Also, the rigidness of the stock will affect the price, a limp noodle will affect your accuracy.

I was planning on getting a R700 stock next year, I might have to get it sooner than later. Thx for the heads up.
Sadly they may be gone already... Went to their page and it's 505'd no server error page.

But yea they have been spamming out emails for the last few months and a few forums stickied their GOB post.

I guess they can't afford to be competitive or something like that. Sad. Glad I got my B&C a few years ago from them.

They're closing their website and opening a new one.

Do you B&C users go though the bedding process, or just bolt it on and shoot?

Excellent. So $700 stock instead of a $450 stock. Still a good deal.

I usually bed the recoil lug in a chassis stock. HS Precision is my preference though.

I just bolted on and shot.

I was told your suposed to shoot in these stocks to about 200 to 300 rounds to let the action imprint it self and set in the stock in it's natural groove. I'm about 100 rounds into mine. Have a ways to go, but it does seem to be making it's own imprint on the stock from my action/recoil lug.
