    Got 6.5 on my mind?

Yep, Bolt rifle and nothing on the self is doing it for me so gonna make something. Action will be Mark V or a Winchester. Barrel will be which ever top end maker can make it the quickest! It will be a Wildcat or an Ackley. input always welcomed................................... OK GO!

The .260Rem and the 6.5Creedmoor get my vote. The .260Rem makes the most sense. It will do what ever any other 6.5 will do and then some.

6.5 creedmoor gets the nod from me. a lot easier to load and tune for than a 260 from what i hear, ballistically, they are bascially the same and components are much easier to find now with nosler, hornady, and i believe one or two other brass mfg making the brass now. its also mag friendly as its shorter than a 260 rem so mag feeding is no problem at all.

if you want to sort of wildcat and dont care about barrel life...go 6.5 SAUM

6.5x284 is a winner, but .260 Ackley will get you there with less powder.

What do you hope to do with the rifle?

          Short action or long action?

Ok right off the 6.5x47 is out just does not interest me. Creedmoor is highly doable but it's not 1st choice unless I go short action, 260 AI is way up there, 6.5 SAUM is out because I believe all SAUM brass will become extinct real soon, I'm thinking 6.5x55 AI, 260 AI, 6.5-06 AI, 6.5 WSM, 6.5-257 or 270 Weatherby. I was dead set on the 6.5-06 AI a while back but other things got priority so it was dropped and I did a 243 AI in the midst of that. So if anyone has any of what I listed I would really like to hear something about them.

                Go short action.

Haha, not much has changed since I last talked to ya!

Of course I like my 6.5x55 and 6.5x55AI route, but if I were to go short action it would likely be 6.5 SAUM at this point.

6.5 creed, you can buy factory ammo when you feel lazy.
